Heritage Marina HP Hotel is a project initiated in 2021, located along the Tam Bạc River—the symbolic heart of Hai Phong, a historic port city.

From its early stages, the development faced numerous challenges, ranging from the pandemic's impact to the transformation of its initial function from a residential building into a hotel. Among these, the two most significant obstacles were the irregular parallelogram-shaped site and the sensitive task of responding to the historical presence of the river.

After an extended period of research and concept development, we chose to create an architectural identity that both evokes the old Tam Bạc quarter and satisfies the operational needs of a contemporary hotel. The design draws inspiration from the prows of moored boats, an inspiration translated directly into the form of the balconies. These “prow” balconies are arranged in a staggered layout to form a buffer in front of the façade and to generate multiple natural exhaust paths—a passive design strategy intended to reduce moisture accumulation on wall surfaces during the damp season. Materials and finishing details were carefully selected to minimize water ingress and ensure long-term aesthetic durability. The building’s massing balances nostalgic elements of the old quarter with the comfort and safety requirements of a modern hotel, helping Heritage Marina HP Hotel stand out among prevailing design trends.

Heritage Marina HP Hotel is currently in the pre-construction phase. Nevertheless, what A+ Architects wishes to communicate is a professional ethos: when a project comes to A+, time is not the only consideration—dedication, effort and perseverance are the core values we put into every detail. We believe that with this spirit intact, Heritage Marina will become more than a hotel; it will be a modest emblem of port-city memory and a model of sustainable architectural response. Heritage Marina HP Hotel là một dự án bắt đầu từ năm 2021, nằm bên dòng sông Tam Bạc - trái tim của thành phố cảng Hải Phòng.

Từ giai đoạn khởi động, giữa những ảnh hưởng của đại dịch đến ý tưởng chuyển đổi công năng từ nhà ở sang khách sạn, đội ngũ A+ Architects đã đối mặt với nhiều thách thức. Trong đó, hai vấn đề lớn nhất là: thiết kế khách sạn trên khu đất hình bình hành không đều và ứng xử với dòng sông lịch sử.

Sau thời gian dài nghiên cứu và phát triển ý tưởng, chúng tôi quyết định tạo nên một bản sắc kiến trúc vừa gợi nhớ khu phố cổ Tam Bạc xưa, vừa đáp ứng yêu cầu vận hành của một khách sạn hiện đại: thiết kế lấy cảm hứng từ hình ảnh những mũi thuyền cập bến xưa được chuyển hóa tinh tế vào hình thức ban công. Các ban công dạng "mũi thuyền" được bố trí so-le, tạo thành lớp đệm trước công trình, đồng thời tạo ra nhiều lối thoát hơi tự nhiên — một chiến lược thiết kế thụ động nhằm giảm thiểu độ ẩm bám trực tiếp trên bề mặt tường trong mùa nồm. Vật liệu và chi tiết hoàn thiện được chọn lọc kỹ lưỡng để hạn chế hiện tượng ngấm nước và đảm bảo độ bền thẩm mỹ theo thời gian. Trong khi ngôn ngữ hình khối hài hòa giữa yếu tố hoài cổ của phố cổ Tam Bạc và nhu cầu tiện nghi, an toàn của một khách sạn hiện đại, giúp Heritage Marina HP Hotel dễ dàng nhận diện giữa nhiều xu hướng thiết kế.

Dự án Heritage Marina HP Hotel hiện vẫn đang trong giai đoạn chuẩn bị trước khi triển khai xây dựng. Tuy nhiên, điều A+ Architects muốn truyền tải là thái độ làm nghề: với mỗi dự án đến tay A+, thời gian không phải là yếu tố duy nhất — tâm huyết, công sức và sự kiên trì mới là giá trị cốt lõi chúng tôi đặt vào từng chi tiết. Chúng tôi tin rằng khi tinh thần ấy được giữ vững, Heritage Marina HP Hotel sẽ không chỉ là một khách sạn, mà còn là một biểu tượng nhỏ của ký ức cảng biển và giải pháp kiến trúc bền vững.
